For Consultant Anesthetists, the Punjab Public Service Commission has announced 154 regular positions. 118 Posts are Open Merit, 5 Posts are Special Persons Quota Reserved, 8 Seats are Minority Quota Reserved, and 23 Seats are Women Quota Reserved. Every seat is open on a regular basis.

MBBS with an MS or FCPS in the pertinent field, or another degree accepted by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
MBBS with a postgraduate degree in the relevant field or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution with one year of practical experience in the field of anesthesia at a recognized institution before or after post-graduation, if none are available with the aforementioned qualifications.

NOTE:

I In the second group of qualifications, postgraduate degrees in the pertinent field, such as a DA or MCPS Prior to or following a postgraduate degree, anesthesia and one year of practical experience are required.
ii) A current, complete Permanent Registration Certificate proving post-graduate training from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council or Pakistan Medical Commission, issued on or before the application deadline.
